Tiffany Au (senior) is the founder and president of INTERLACE. She is passionate about building meaningful connections across generations and creating spaces where young people and older adults can learn from one another. Through INTERLACE, she hopes to address social isolation among seniors while helping students better understand and participate in communities.
At her high school, Tiffany serves as the co-founder and president of her school club, UNVEIL, which is dedicated to exploring overlooked histories and encouraging conversations about social issues through active engagement with the community. She is also the Vice President of her school’s Law Club and is an editor for her school newspaper. Outside of school, she has conducted research regarding various Supreme Court cases through a mentorship at the University of Cambridge, and also obtained an internship at a family law office. In her free time, she enjoys playing soccer, reading, and playing the piano and violin.

Claire Au (sophomore) is the Vice President and Website Manager of INTERLACE. Driven by a love for community involvement, she serves on the Student Council as the publicity chair and actively helps with school events. She is very involved in her school’s community, participating in multiple clubs such as U.N.V.E.I.L., Law Club, and Letters to Strangers. Additionally, she is a member of her school’s swim team and soccer team. Outside the classroom, she enjoys participating in Lincoln-Douglas Debate. In her free time, she enjoys playing piano, reading books, and spending time with her siblings.

Yixuan Wang (sophomore) is excited to be a part of INTERLACE to help bridge the digital gap for older generations, making technology more accessible for seniors in his community. He is extremely passionate about STEM and enjoys problem-solving. As a member of INTERLACE, Yixuan has assisted many senior citizens tech, resolving various issues and problems they encountered. Yixuan is an active member of his school’s robotics team, where he works on software engineering. In his free time, he plays the piano, hangs out with friends, and listens to music.

Claire Hou (junior) is the Health and Fitness Director of INTERLACE, who is passionate about helping the community thrive through research and exercise. She currently researches the relationship between HLA alleles and clozapine-induced myocarditis and is in the Do Lab at Stanford, involved in the implementation of Artificial Intelligence in Radiology. She is also dedicated to running, and she is the top runner in her high school’s Varsity Girls Cross Country team and Varsity Girls distance team in Track. She was the Assistant Captain of her high school cross country team in 2025, and she qualified for the 2025 CIF State Cross Country Championships. Additionally, she is a sports editor for her high school newspaper. In her free time, she enjoys volunteering at the Palo Alto Veterans Affairs Medical Center, along with playing clarinet in youth orchestras around the Bay Area.

Sophie Saibi (senior) has had a love for astronomy since middle school, when she first heard about the James Webb Space telescope! She became a citizen scientist in 2023 and has since contributed to the astronomical community with observations of deep-space objects. Outside of astronomy, she enjoys being outdoors with her dog, hiking, and playing volleyball. In school, she leads the Pinewood astronomy club and is involved in student-led publications including the school’s literary magazine and newspaper.

Emily (sophomore) is passionate about serving her community and making a positive impact. She is excited to join INTERLACE to continue helping others. Emily is already actively involved in community service through Second Harvest, Helping Hearts, and Girl Scouts, where she enjoys giving back to those around her. Beyond volunteering, she loves trying new baking recipes and participates in track and field.

Sarah Cheng (8th grader) is a passionate and community-minded 8th grader who is eager to make a positive impact through service. She is excited to join INTERLACE and continue helping others in meaningful ways. Sarah currently dedicates her time to organizations such as Second Harvest and Girl Scouts, where she enjoys giving back to her community. Outside of volunteering, she loves reading, drawing, and spending quality time with her family.

She is a member of her school’s dance team, and loves being involved in school activities. Outside of school, she loves baking, dancing, and spending time with her friends and family.

Kaitlyn Maier (senior) is excited to work with Interlace to create community connections across generations. An avid writer, Kaitlyn helps run her high school’s newspaper, literary arts magazine, and creative writing club. She hopes to use her writing to represent marginalized perspectives. In her free time, Kaitlyn enjoys reading literary fiction, watching horror movies with her cat, and exploring the Bay Area with her friends.
